Q1. What is the nearest (big) airport?
A: You can fly to to Orlando airport which is only 15 minutes from the home or Sanford which is approximately 50 minutes.
Q2. What are the best airlines to fly?
A: Different airlines offer different levels of service and charge different rates. If price and time of flight is what you're after we recommend one of the flight finder services, like ebookers, (use the link, bottom right, to open a new window with their webpage). From the UK, Virgin offer the best value for money, with BA offering a good level of service. Thomson and Thomas Cook are good charter airlines and do cater for families well, although they fly to Sanford.
Q3. Can you recommend a car hire place?
A: Dollar, Avis, Alamo and Hertz are on airport at Orlando so you will not need to transfer in a coach to the big rental locations, this is a bonus after a long flight. They offer discounts online at various times so we would suggest signing up for their e newsletter a few months ahead of the travel to get the best deals. They tend to do a random special offer which is always a good deal. Alternatively ebookers provide car hire too - see link to the right.
Q4. Are the villas safe for children?
A: The pools are covered by an alarm on the doors leading to the screened area and the houses are as child friendly as possible; obviously common sense is still required. The homes are in a small gated community so there is not much traffic coming on to the site.
Q5. Is it far to Disney?
A: The home is centrally located and approximately 20 minutes to all major theme parks (Disney, Universal, SeaWorld) and to the major retail parks.
Q6. How hot is it?
A: The winter is normally moderately warm but can have some cold snaps, spring is warm and dry, early summer is hot but starting to get rainy, late Summer is Hot, sultry and stormy, Autumn is hot and dry.
Q7. When is the best time to go?
A: The Spring and Autumn are the times of very nice temperatures without the rainy days.
